Mindfulness is a skill that many people have no desire to improve or have no idea exists. A lack of mindfulness can cause problems such as overthinking, worry, stress, and poor perception. Mindfulness is defined as a mental state achieved by focusing awareness on the present moment. A person in a truly mindful state recognizes and accepts thoughts and feelings and lets them pass, like a leaf floating down a river. There are many free mindfulness resources available on the Internet. Take the initiative and begin to improve your present awareness with this simple mindfulness exercise.
Exercise without progress tracking can lead to loss of motivation and a slower rate of improvement. It is important to know where you stand on a fitness level so you know how far you have come and can take steps to keep improving. Many assessments people give themselves are subjective and simply based on how much they can lift or how far they can run. While these may be somewhat useful indicators, a more specific set of tests is needed.

These characteristics can be trained and improved with hard work and dedication. Eban Pegan has come up with three C’s to help manage your focus and attention.
Clean Focus
Only focusing on one thing at a time. Multitasking may seem like a more efficient use of your time, but each task you add pulls away attention and focus from the others. This approach is antagonistic in nature: each task takes longer to complete, the results are not products of your best abilities, and this mental marathon drains your focus and willpower quickly and detrimentally.
Clean Cuts
Push things out of your mind that you have already focused on or need to focus on. These thoughts are distracting and can cause you to lose important trains of thought or work ethic momentum.
Change Channels
You should spend your day working different aspects of your mind. If you focus on only one or two things, your mind will tire out and leave you unhappy. Change channels between physical, social, mental, and emotional tasks. Examples include: lifting weights, chatting with a friend, reading, and making love with your partner, respectively.

- Act like a startup. Being frugal and detail oriented will help cut down on costs and build a better foundation for your business.

The first date can be a very nerve‐wracking thing for many people.
